[DATE]
[FIRSTNAME],
Sorry for the length of this newsletter, there are just
quite a few points that need to be mentioned here. I’ll try to keep them brief.
This Week: This Wednesday (June 9, 2010, race 6 of 17) we will be
racing at Sundance sponsored by Millcreek Bicycles, with supplemental prizes by
Guru’s, CarboRocket, Kuhl, NuSkin, and Polar Bottle. We will be racing on the same Archie's Loop course as two weeks ago. Experts will do 2 laps,
sport 1.5 laps, and beginners will do 1 lap.
Number Plates: We have received the permanent number plates and will be
able to swap out those who have received temporary plates at any one of the
remaining races this season. You will
need to bring your temporary plate with you in order to receive the permanent
race number. Also, please remember that you need to have your number plate
on your bike each week.
Free Races: This will be the first week that some of you are eligible
for your free race. After 5 paid races
you are eligible for 1 free race ( limited to 1
free race per venue). In order to
claim your free race you must bring your number plate in with you to register.
Kids Races: Sorry about any confusion concerning the start time for the
kids race last week. We had a good
turnout and are thinking about adding 1 or 2 to the schedule. The kids’ races will start at 5:00 p.m. on
the nights they are scheduled. Free for
ages 10 and under. If we can get some
cool sponsors for these events we may be able to offer some prizes for the
kiddos.
Newsletter Archive: Did you miss one of the emails for some reason? You can access the archive of all the emails
that have been sent out on the home page by clicking on the link “WRS
Newsletter (Archive)”.
Team DeCoy Benefit fun run/walk: If any of you are interested in supporting a good cause and
do not have plans this Saturday, there is a 5k fun run/walk Saturday morning in
Cedar Hills to support 2 great kids that are going through a pretty good battle
right now. There is a link to the
registration form and more information in the Race Updates area at the top of
each page on WeeklyRaceSeries.com.
Lastly:
A HUGE THANKS to all of our volunteers that helped out at the biathlon event
last week. We couldn’t do it without
you! The race was a huge success and it
was good to have the biathlon back on the schedule after an unscheduled break
last season. If you missed it there will
be one more this year so check the schedule and mark your calendars in advance.
See you Wednesday at Sundance! Thanks to all of our great sponsors:
